Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
Yes, all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance/CEU certificate. All certificates will be automatically emailed after the conference. You will receive the certificates no later than 3 weeks after the conclusion of the event.
How many continuing education units (CEUs) does the conference provide?
The conference qualifies up to 23 CEUs.
Can I earn continuing education units (CEUs) through the webcast?
Yes, webcast long distance learning qualifies up to 15 CEUs. You will have to sign an online form and view the content within 25 days of the conclusion of the conference.
How many physician CME credits are available for the conference?
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through joint sponsorship of the University of Alabama School of Medicine (UASOM) and the HealthCare Chaplaincy Network. The UASOM is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Alabama School of Medicine designates this conference for a maximum of 23 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit (s)™. Physicians should claim only the credits commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. How many social worker contact hours are available?
This program is Approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Approval # 886745162-6906) for 23 continuing education contact hours.
How many nurse CNE or CE contact hours are available for the conference?
This continuing nursing education activity is pending approval by the Tennessee Nurses Association an accredited approver by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation. You may receive up to 23 CNEs.
Is there additional costs for CEUs?
There are no extra charges to apply for conference CEUs.
Will my accrediting agency accept the conference CEUs?
Acceptance of CEUs is up to your individual accrediting agency. Many state boards accept offerings approved by national or other state organizations. Please check with your own professional licensing board to determine whether our offering will be accepted.
What requirements are needed on our end to participate in the conference virtually via Webcast?
You will need a computer with access to the internet. Most of the conference content will be streamed live and some content will also be available to be watched on-demand, at your leisure. There will be opportunities for question and answer sessions as well as time to interact with exhibitors. You will need a phone in order to dial in for these sessions. Everyone will receive clear instructions on how to participate, prior to the start of the conference.
How many people can access the webcast from our organization/company?
If you have employees or volunteers in your organization working remotely and would like them to attend the conference from home, you may have up to 20 people participate under one conference registration. One single sign-on will be sent to the main contact (the person who is registered for the conference) but that sign-on (i.e. username and password) may be shared with up to 20 people in your organization/company as long as they are employees or volunteers of your organization/company. All participants will be eligible to receive continuing education credit (CEUs, CNEs, CMEs, Social Work Contact Hours).
Will documents, slides, and PowerPoint presentations be available to attendees?
Yes – all attendees will receive all the material, including PowerPoints, that have been made available by the various speakers. You will also receive recorded videos of ALL sessions from the Caring for the Human Spirit© Conference and Westberg Symposium.
How will I interact with other attendees?
Through the Caring for the Human Spirit© Conference app, you will be able to interact with speakers, conference organizers, planning committee members, and other attendees. You will still be able to network with others, meet new friends, and reconnect with old ones. During this difficult time of isolation, the use of our conference app will allow us an opportunity to connect and interact.
Content & Video Recording
Will I have access to see the video recording?
Yes, every participant will receive a code to view all recorded presentations: keynote, plenaries, and select workshops.
Do you provide copies of the slides?
Copies are provided via the conference app during the conference and via a secure link after the conference for your convenience.
I already registered for the conference do I need to register for the renewal ceremony as well?
No, the renewal ceremony is already included in your ticket.
